Clemente
CLEMENTE is a solo performance by Andreia Pires, directed by Vinícius Arneiro. It is a bodily investigation that brings together distinct visual materialities and connects absences to dance.
A woman from Ceará, born in Roça Velha, in the Cariri region, dances on a reflective stage, as if time were a bottomless hole, carving out a movement between generations that intertwine without sequentiality, yet remain insistent in the force of the present. An inventory of gestures guides the proposal of CLEMENTE, like an expedition that activates layers of mourning while also articulating the force of life, reshaping the recurring oppositions between life and death in a design that blurs their boundaries. A piece that looks ahead within the now. There are also three movements: WAITING, PLANTING, TRANSFORMING.
